Zurich Financial Services Australia Limited Your Voice - Terms of your Membership

Thank you for your interest in joining Zurich Financial Services Australia Limited ABN 11 008 423 372 (‘we’, ‘our’ or ‘us’) online research community (Your Voice). If you choose to become a member of the Your Voice, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of membership.

 

Zurich Financial Services Australia Limited and its Service Provider

We use a third party company to manage and maintain the Your Voice community on our behalf. Currently, this company is Potentiate Australia Pty Ltd ABN 18 134 434 736 (the 'Service Provider') who manage the Platform1 software. In the event we appoint a new company to manage and maintain the Your Voice community, a notice will be posted on our Your Voice ‘Member Hub’ website. The Service Provider is registered with the Research Society, Australia’s peak body for market research.

 

Joining the Your Voice community  

Membership is only open to Australian residents who are 18 years of age or over. To join the Your Voice community, you will be directed to this link where you will be asked to complete a profiling questionnaire that will be managed and hosted by the Service Provider, and asked to provide certain information about yourself. This information helps us to identify different types of our customers and assist us with our future market research activities. Once you submit your answers to the profiling questionnaire, and confirm your membership by clicking on the ‘Confirmation’ email link you will receive upon completion of the profiling questionnaire, you will become an active member of the Your Voice community.

 

Participation in Research

As a member of the Your Voice community, we or the Service Provider may contact you from time to time to take part in market research surveys about our products, services, offers, marketing and ideas. The online surveys you will be invited to participate in may be conducted and hosted by the Service Provider or other market research companies who have been engaged by us to conduct that survey on our behalf. By completing that survey, you consent to your name, email address and responses to that survey to be collected and managed by such third parties for the purpose of conducting that survey on behalf of us. Your contribution and feedback is very important because it will help us to ensure we meet customer expectations and needs. Participation in our market research surveys is at your discretion.

 

Your Obligations

If you wish to join the Your Voice community, you agree to the following:

• you will register for the Your Voice community only once; and

• all information that you provide as part of the profiling questionnaire you are required to complete as part of your registration, or whenever you respond to any other surveys, must be honest and your own responses to any questions you are asked.

 

Ending your membership to the Your Voice community  

If you wish to end your membership from the Your Voice community, you can click on the unsubscribe link provided in any email sent to you as part of the Your Voice community. By ending your membership to the Your Voice community, you will be removed from the Your Voice community mailing list, however you may continue to receive other communications from or on behalf of us unless you have advised otherwise. We may end your membership to the Your Voice community at any time and without notice to you for any reason. The primary reason for doing this will be lack of research activity i.e. a prolonged period without you completing a survey.

 

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information collected as part of the Your Voice community for our market research purposes only. Any personal information collected about you in the course of your participation in the Your Voice community, will be undertaken in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988. When you complete the profiling questionnaire to register as a member of Your Voice, information will be collected and stored using cloud technology by the Service Provider on our behalf. The collected information will be physically stored at the Service Provider’s secure facilities located in Singapore. We have verified that the Service Provider maintains adequate controls and confidentiality agreements to safely host the information. We have an agreement with the Service Provider and the Community Manager with provisions to protect your information. 

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as totally secure. Accordingly, although we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted using the Your Voice website. 

Similarly, no data stored using cloud technology can be guaranteed as totally secure. Accordingly, although we strive to protect such information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of this information and it is stored at your own risk. The Service Provider is not responsible to you for the collection, storage and use of your information. 

We may need to disclose the information to organisations located overseas. This is because we, (or the Community Manager or the Service Provider on our behalf), may need to perform some functions, or receive some services from a service provider, located overseas. We will only disclose your information to an organisation that is overseas where it is necessary for the services they provide to us. 

 

Rights to Zurich material

All material available through Your Voice is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property rights. You agree not to access, download or otherwise use any material on Your Voice in any way not expressly authorised by us.

 

Limitation of use

Use of Your Voice is at your own risk. To the extent permissible by law, we excludes all warranties in relation to the information available through Your Voice, including all conditions implied by statute, general law or custom and disclaims all liability arising out of or consequent on any access to, use of, or reliance upon any information or material available through Your Voice; any computer virus, communications failure, internet access difficulties or malfunction in equipment or software affecting Your Voice  or access to Your Voice.   

 

Cookies

We and the Service Providers may allocate 'cookies' to each internet browser that visits the survey link or member portal at www.yourvoicecommunity.com.au. The purpose of using ‘cookies’ is to provide you with a better and more customized service and with a more effective website. A ‘cookie’ is a small text file place on your computer by our web page server. A cookie can later be retrieved by our webpage servers. Cookies are frequently used on websites and you can choose if and how a cookie will be accepted by configuring your preferences and options in your browser.

The cookies are used, for example, to identify pages you have viewed on our website, to remember login and personalization preferences, to ensure duplicate accounts are not created, to optimize performance of the site, and for security reasons. We use the information collected through the use of cookies to perform statistical analyses of aggregate user behaviour, but these analyses are not based on personal information. We will only use the information collected for market research purposes and not to advertise or promote, goods or services to you.

Incentives

In appreciation for participating in the Your Voice community, you will automatically be entered into a monthly prize draw (on the condition that you have completed at least one research activity during that month if an activity has been sent to you). We or the Service Provider will notify you of the details for each prize draw by the email included with each survey. If you are a winner of any incentive prize draw, you will be contacted by email by us or the Service Provider. Monthly winners will be announced on the Member Hub Centre page.

Emails

You acknowledge and accept that we and the Service Provider may send you an email from time to time. Your email message content may be monitored by our employees for security issues including where e-mail abuse is suspected. Our response to you may also be monitored for quality assurance purposes.

Acceptance and changes to Terms and Conditions

You acknowledge and accept that your use of the Your Voice community indicates your acceptance of these Terms. We may at any time vary the Terms of Use by publishing the varied Terms on the Your Voice community member hub website. You accept that by doing this, we have provided you with sufficient notice of the variation.
